Oh, the cocoonery. lol. I did cocoon curls in my hair using my Dark and Lovely Au Naturale Coil Moisturizing Souffle and Sheen Sealing Nectar. We actually used to do this at boarding school to curl our braids, but now I'm actually doing it...in my hair...for the first time. All I did was make large two strand twists, then began to wrap around like a hanging bantu knot. There really is nothing to it but to do it hunnnay. lol.
Sooo, do you like? I have a video showing you how I did it so check out the video below and let me know if you try it out.
They practically make my life complete. Unfortunately, they tend to have a basic, mundane, yawn-worthy look...so I decided to dress mine up a little. To make my style formal, I simply Added a few twists and turns. I added some texture by isolating some strands and twisting them to make somewhat of an incomplete pinwheel effect. This look definitely adds a touch of formal elegance that is suitable for weddings, tea parties, and the like. The benefits are that it is relatively easy to recreate and only takes a few minutes to achieve.
